About Allison Armfield
Allison Armfield started her photography journey when she picked up a digital camera at the age of 14. Exploration of movement and the human form drive Armfield’s work, whether she is shooting audition photos or a dance company’s rehearsal. Allison received her BFA degree in contemporary dance from Texas Christian University. Upon moving to NYC after graduation, she became Studio Manager for world-renowned dance photographer, Lois Greenfield, who serves as a point of inspiration for her work.
Intrigued by color, you can find Allison searching for perfection in the colorways in her compositions. She also currently serves as the resident photographer for Eisenhower Dance Detroit, a Detroit-based contemporary dance company.
